Oliver Holt webchat: Why O'Neill and Benzema could be bound for United, why Arsenal need Kevin Davies and why Sparky should still be at City

Daily Mirror chief sports writer Oliver Holt joined us today for our lunchtime webchat and talked John Terry, Manchester United, the destiny of the title, Coronation Street and much, much, more. Full transcript below... some highlights here:

Holt on John Terry: I don't believe that the other players' opinion of him will have changed because of the allegations that have been made in the past few days. Similar allegations have been made against most of them over the years as well.

Holt on Sir Alex Ferguson:My guess, based on nothing but hunch, is that Fergie will go at the end of next season. If he hasn't taken the Man City job by then, I think Mourinho might get it. But the person I'd like to see take it, the person I think would be best for the job, is Martin O'Neill.

Holt on Manchester United's next big signings:If they were going to get David Villa, he'd already be there. Benzema is much more likely because Fergie loves him and he's struggling at Madrid. Could be a real hit at United.

Holt on Arsenal's struggles:They haven't replaced Adebayor and they have no aerial threat at all now. They could do worse than Kevin Davies at Bolton or Heskey, even if it's only as a stop gap. They also need a holding midfielder although I'm starting to like Song more and more.

Holt on how Liverpool can bounce back:They've still got a group of top quality players - Gerrard, Torres, Reina, Benayoun, Johnson, Mascherano, Carragher, Kuyt. If they've got the money and they could persuade David Villa to link up with Torres, what a forward line that would be. They'd be in the mix next year then.

Holt on Roberto Mancini:Don't forget, Hughes managed most of the season without a fit Carlos Tevez. Under Mancini, City have won the easy games and lost the difficult ones. They're no better off than they would have been under Hughes.

Holt on Moyes v Benitez:It's hard to argue against Moyes. Benitez has done a fantastic job at Liverpool. I think he's underrated given what he's achieved. But I'd love to see Moyes given some money at Everton so he could compete with the bigger-spending clubs. He could do big things.
